Use the following terms in a keyword in subject search to find books in the Morrisville State College Library.

You can use these terms alone or combined with the term "history" and/or "United States" or the country you are interested in

  • sufrag followed by an asterisk (shift 8) to find titles on suffrage and suffragists
  • femin followed by an asterisk (shift 8) to find title on feminism and feminists
  • sex role
  • women
  • women's rights

Interlibrary Loan

Morrisville College students and faculty may request books through interlibrary loan free of charge. To use this service you must set up an interlibrary loan account. This is a simple procedure and establishes an account where you can place interlibrary loan requests for books and journal articles.

To look for books in other libraries, use WorldCat, a database of United States and world academic and research library book collection. To request a book

  • open your interlibrary loan account and under "New Request" select "Book"
  • open a second browser window to conduct a search in WorldCat
  • in the results list, click on the title of the book you wish to request to open the full book description
  • click on the "Find More Information" link located next to "External Resources:"
  • another browser window will open with information about the book, click on the "try interlibrary loan" link near the bottom of the page
  • your interlibrary loan book request form should appear with the book information fields filled in; check the form for accuracy and click the submit button to complete your request
  • you will receive an e-main notification when the book arrives
  • pick up the book at the library circulation desk
  • the length of the borrowing time is determined by the lending library, renewals can be requested.
